Dear Friends and Supporters,Since 1965, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County BGCBC) has been unwavering in our commitment to the well-being of children and their preparation for future success; providing girls and boys with diverse after-school and summer activities that meet their interests and developmental needs. Clubs are guidance-oriented in order to help young people develop a system of values related to family, community and country and to make appropriate and satisfying choices in all aspects of their lives. This commitment has guided us in equipping our youth for success through three strategic programming areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles. We provide:• A safe place to learn and grow• Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals• Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences• Hope and opportunityToday we want to introduce you to a series of 4 videos that show you what the BGCBC is all about. These videos will take you inside the life of a Club kid and give you a glimpse of why the Clubs and staff are so special. We hope that you enjoy your virtual tour as you learn about the programs and experiences offered at the BGCBC.We would like to recognize and thank the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for producing this video and helping to capture these special moments. Our goal is to have every member graduate high school on time, college or career-ready with the skills they need to succeed in today’s globally competitive workforce. Our Clubs partner with youth, parents, schools and other community stakeholders to implement three approaches: academic enrichment and school engagement; targeted dropout prevention; and college and career preparedness.Last year 99% of our members progressed to the next grade level on time, 93% of our high school seniors graduated from high school and 82% of those graduates enrolled in college.
